PostSubject: Windows XP / Windows Vista   Sat Feb 24, 2007 4:57 am

I have windows XP, with the following change :

(Start Button)
All Programs -
* Startup
* Accessories
* AntiSpyware
* Media Players
* Burning Software
* Windows Software
* Internet Software
* Office Software
* Music Software
* Divers
* Games

I have been using this system for about 3 years. I also, basically, turn everything off.

"I have recently seen pictures of Windows Vista, and was quite surprized of its look and feel. The promotion of it, tended towards the macintosh style. I believe the main difference, is a new file storage system. Fat32, NTFS,..new one. I have read that this new file system gives you less idea of what is actually going on."

(I need to upgrade soon,..
although the parents seem to think a "fridge" would be more useful)

Windows XP :

* 2700 Mhz PIV Chip (533 MHz FSB - version i later discovered)
* Realtek Circuit Board (800 MHz FSB) - blown realtek by plugging phone 50 volts into it.
* Soundblast16 cheap Soundcard.
* 256 Mb DDR "AGP" GForce 5700 (overclocked - now with little red lines sometimes.)
* 1 Gig PC2700 RAM,..333 MHz
* MuchTV Tv Card
* 2 x SATA 80 Gig (access speed 150 MHz DMA - serial)
* 1 old 20 gig (access speed 100 Mhz DMA - parallel)
* Logitech Keyboard and Mouse (with recharging bay)
* Logitech webCAM
* Scanner, Printer, Green "stingray" modem,,.....and Com1 "Backup" mouse.
* DVD Burner, CD Burner, 1/2 Gig USB stick.
* Macromedia Flash Studio.
* VX400 "portable",..without carrying your computer on your back,..voice box.

The ideal system always is sort of like :

* 80 gig SATA - for windows
* 80 gig SATA - for windows page file (Memory - Ram - let windows set it.)
* 80 gig SATA - for games and software.
* $125 "3D" Virtual Reality Call of Duty 2 CTF "Super" Goggles.

....................................//...................................

Note :

* FSB - Is the circuit board speed, or bottle neck of the whole thing.
* MHz - Million of instructions per second

....................................//...................................

And i don't know anything about computers.
